Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Wiveliscombe to help people gain independence and improve quality of life. You will work as part of a dynamic team in a residential setting, supporting daily activities and community involvement.

The role requires a full UK driving license, resilience, and experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and complex needs, including distress, mental health, autism and trauma. Competitive pay and career development available.

Support Worker – Wiveliscombe - £13.56 up to £15.06 with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply)

Typical Shifts are: 08:00 - 20:30 working 3 shifts a week including alternate weekends

As a Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service is a grade two listed building set in the beautiful rural location of Wiveliscombe. With its own orchard, log cabin art hub and pond, you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of people we support who are living with learning disabilities and complex care needs. Your day will include assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local community, socialize and have fun with all manner of different activities.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism and people who have experienced trauma.
