Job summary

Sense in West Bromwich is hiring a Support Worker to join our service. This permanent role offers up to 37.5 hours per week, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and a range of health conditions in a Good-rated home.

You'll help with daily tasks, personal care, finances, and community activities, working 7am-2:30pm or 2pm-9:30pm, with some weekends/bank holidays. A manual UK driving license and BSL knowledge are desirable.

Qualifications

  • Full manual UK driving license is desirable.
  • Knowledge or qualification in British Sign Language (BSL) is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals in a 2:1 service where necessary.
  • Participate in a wide range of activities to support health and wellbeing.
  • Assist with everyday tasks including personal care and hygiene, finances, medication and wellbeing.

Here at Sense, we now have a greatopportunity for a Support Workerto join our service in West Bromwich.

This is a permanent role, with contracts available for up to 37.5 hours per week. You will join a fantastic team here at our home which CQC rated as Good, where you will be supporting individuals who have learning disabilities with a range of health conditions.

A full manual UK license is desirable as we have manual 9 seater company vehicle used to drive and take individuals to appointments, activities outside of the home and trips. Knowledge or qualification in British Sign Language (BSL) is desirable.

As a Support Worker, you will support theindividualsin a 2:1 service where necessary and also take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing. We like to participate in a wide range of activities,including cycling,disco, hydro pool and outdoor pursuits.

The shift patterns at this service are as follows:7am-2.30pm and 2pm-9.30pm. You may be required to work some weekends and bank holidays.
