Job summary

Aspiring Lives in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated support worker to collaborate with the Registered Manager and families. The role focuses on delivering compassionate, person-centred care plans and activity planning to meet individual needs.

You will engage clients in activities, assist with daily living, and monitor safety for people with epilepsy and autism complex health needs. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience working with people with learning disabilities.
  • Strong team-working and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage in person-centred activities.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
  • Experience in a stressful care environment is advantageous.

Job description

The support worker will follow plans of care and risk assessments to ensure that the care is safe, effective, caring and responsive to the individual's needs. There will be opportunities to influence and improve the individuals life through care planning and activity planning whilst working with the Registered Manager and the families.

  • Assisting with all aspects of Daily Living
  • Ensuring the safety and welfare of the individuals with epilepsy, autism complex health needs
  • Building positive relationship with the individuals and their families
  • Supporting Care planning and risk management strategies
  • At least 1 year experience of working with people with learning disabilities
  • Effective Team working skills
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Experience of working in a stressful care and support environment would be beneficial
  • Flexible working will be required and the successful applicant would be expected to work evenings and weekends
