Job summary

Portman Recruitment Limited is recruiting for local, flexible Support Worker roles across East Sussex. You will assist adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental-health needs and other complex needs to live as independently as possible.

The roles are temporary agency work with flexible shifts, requiring DBS clearance, references and right to work in the UK. Driving licence and access to transport are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Recent professional care or support-work experience is required.
• Experience supporting adults with autism, mental health needs or behaviours of concern would be beneficial.
• A full UK driving licence and access to transport are strongly preferred.
• An enhanced DBS, suitable references, right to work in the UK and current mandatory training will be required.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and other complex needs to live fulfilling and independent lives.
• Assist with personal care, medication support, meals, household tasks and community activities.
• Record information accurately and follow care plans; maintain dignity and respect at all times.

Portman Recruitment is building a local bank of experienced Support Workers for current and upcoming assignments across East Sussex.

You will support adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental-health needs, physical disabilities and other complex needs to live fulfilling and increasingly independent lives.

The work may involve personal care, medication support, meal preparation, household tasks, community activities, appointments and emotional reassurance.

The successful candidate will be:
