Job summary

United Response is looking for a kind, compassionate Support Worker to join the Boscawen Farm team between Redruth and Truro. You will help people engage in outdoor activities, grow skills and enjoy the farm environment, with full training provided.

This role requires driving a 9-seater and working 22 hours per week on Tue, Wed and Thu. You will contribute to a person-centred, supportive culture that emphasises empowerment and wellbeing.

Qualifications

SUPPORT WORKER (BOSCAWEN FARM)

If so, United Response wants to hear from you! We are looking for hard-working and compassionate people to join our team at our busy Boscawen Farm service, situated halfway between Redruth and Truro.

LOCATION

Boscawen Farm, Blackwater, Truro

HOURS

22hrs each week (on a Tues, Wed, Thursday)

SALARY

£13.25 per hour

United Response is a registered charity, founded in 1973, whose mission is to ensure that individuals with learning disabilities, mental or physical support needs have the opportunity to live their lives to the full. We support around 2000 people in over 300 locations across England and Wales, and employ over 3,600 staff.

Boscawen Farm is one of the ways we aim to give the people we support the opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy different activities such as horticulture, basic maintenance, crafts, cookery and general farm activities. Through the running of different creative sessions on our 45-acre farm, United Response works to provide the high-quality person-centred approach to social care that we are so passionate about.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is kind, compassionate and enthusiastic about supporting others to get involved in activities and develop new skills.

For this role, it is essential that you are able to drive a 9-seater vehicle.

You should have a good work ethic and take pride in creating an environment that enhances the lives of the people we support. Experience of working outdoors, on a farm or in a rural environment would be beneficial, as would basic maintenance skills, but full training and support will be provided.
