About The Role

Support Worker –Ty Nelson – Hourly rate £12.60 to £12.75 Full time 40.25 hours per week.

As a Support Worker at Ty Nelson, you'll play a meaningful role in guiding young adults as they step confidently into adulthood. You'll work closely with three vibrant young men, empowering them to build independence and thrive in daily life. You will help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Nestled in the heart of Nelson, the home offers not only a warm and supportive environment but also easy access to stunning outdoor spaces—perfect for fresh air, adventures, and making memories.

A typical day in the life of an Orbis Support Worker may include:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to individuals with autism, tailored to their specific needs and preferences.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Encourage and support individuals in participating in community activities, leisure pursuits, and educational programs.
  • Foster a positive, supportive environment that promotes independence and personal development.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organisational standards.

  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts.
  • Driving for this role is essential.

Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
