Job summary

Mencap in Thornaby is seeking two Support Workers to join our dedicated team. You will support individuals with learning disabilities in a registered living service, assisting with daily activities and offering emotional support to a diverse group of people.

We prioritize person-centred care, flexible shifts including evenings and weekends, and a supportive environment that values empathy and strong relationships with service users and their families.

Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking two passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Thornaby.

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

You will be working in our registered living service helping to support 6 people, male and female both in the home and in the community. Our team promotes person centred support and positive behavioural support when supporting people with complex needs.

What we\'re looking for:

- A genuine passion for supporting others.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Contract options:

- Part-time

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

- Day shifts are 3pm - 10pm 8am - 4.30pm 7am - 3pm

- Sleep-ins: 22:00-07:00
