Job summary

Active Neuro at Stoke Mandeville is opening a brand-new Private Rehabilitation Hospital and is looking for compassionate, motivated Support Workers to join the team. You will support patients across rehabilitation pathways, helping them rebuild lives after life-changing injuries or illnesses.

Join a pioneering team with specialist facilities and a high-dependency unit; you’ll work closely with clinicians, families and carers, providing dignity, encouragement and practical support every day.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to rehabilitation patients.
• Support patients through their rehabilitation journey and encourage progress.
• Offer reassurance and maintain dignity, kindness and respect.
• Support families and carers during challenging times and communicate effectively.
• Work within a multidisciplinary clinical team and learn new rehabilitation equipment.

About the Hospital

Something very exciting is coming to Stoke Mandeville! Active Neuro is opening a brand-new Private Rehabilitation Hospital in Stoke Mandeville in Summer 2027 — and we’re looking for some very special people to be part of it.

This is going to be something really different, bringing together pioneering rehabilitation technology and world‑class facilities. Our new hospital will bring together outstanding facilities, innovative rehabilitation spaces and a highly experienced clinical team, all with one shared goal — to help people rebuild their lives following a life‑changing injury or illness. And we’re not doing things by halves! Our brand‑new hospital will include:

• A state‑of‑the‑art therapy gym – including the UK’s only Moonwalker gait rehabilitation system
• Specialist hydrotherapy facilities
• Dedicated outpatient rehabilitation spaces
• An eight‑bed High Dependency Unit (HDU)
• Purpose‑built spinal injury rehabilitation facilities
• Family accommodation and welcoming communal spaces
• Education and learning facilities for patients, families, clinicians and researchers
