Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for a SEN provision in Stockport. The role involves supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis, providing sensory and emotional support, and helping deliver engaging learning activities.

Successful candidates will have safeguarding training, experience with complex needs, and be willing to complete DBS checks and references. This temp-to-perm position offers competitive daily pay (£95-£110) and ongoing professional development.

Are you a kind and compassionate support worker, seeking a new role We are currently working with a large SEN provision in Stockport to recruit support workers to join their team from September, on a temp to perm basis.

The school is a specialist college, that supports pupils aged between 19-25, with complex needs.

As a Support Worker, you will:

• Support pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis, providing both sensory and emotional support
• Maintain regular communication with parents, staff and external agencies (where necessary) to monitor progress and development
• Prepare fun and engaging learning resources

What we are looking for:

• Up to date safeguarding training within the last year (desired but trainigng can be provided)
• Any personal or professional experience supporting complex needs
• Team Teach training is desired but trainng can be provided

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
