Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Stafford. You will help people gain more independence daily, support personal care, and assist them to access local communities and activities. Join a friendly, supportive team in a busy, rewarding environment.

You'll work shifts across early, late, long days, nights, and sleep-ins, with enhanced pay for evenings/weekends and overtime. DBS checks apply, training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience and values aligned with caring role.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans.
• Reflective practice experience.
• Experience working with autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Help people gain more independence in daily life.
• Assist with personal care and encourage community involvement.
• Engage in activities and socialise with supported individuals.
• No two days are the same in a dynamic team environment.

Job description

Support Worker – Stafford- £12.72 per hour (35 - 42 hours per week)

Drivers preferred

Typical Shifts are:

• Early Shifts: 7am-2pm,
• Late Shifts: 2pm-9pm,
• Long Days: 7am-9pm,
• Night Shifts: 9pm-7am
• Sleep-ins: 9pm - 7am

Our supported living service in Stafford is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support shopping in town, the next you could be unwinding with them watching films or going to the cinema.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, our Support Workers should ideally have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals with autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.
