Job summary

Priority Recruitment are seeking an experienced Support Worker to assist a client in Romsey with cerebral palsy and epilepsy, including social and community activities outside of school. The role requires a valid UK driving licence and physical fitness to support a busy schedule.

The successful candidate will help with personal care, hoists, and a range of activities from bowling to cinema, swimming and the theatre, within the client’s home and community setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive and hold a UK licence.
• Experience supporting children with complex conditions (desired).
• Physically active to support a busy schedule.

Responsibilities

• Support client at home and during social and community activities.
• Assist personal care and use of hoists as needed.
• Enable participation in activities such as bowling, cinema, swimming and theatre.

• Our client is 13 years old, requiring support in the home and for activities including personal care and the use of hoists
• Supporting our client with cerebral palsy and epilepsy and gastrostomy/PEG feeding
• Our client is an active thrill-seeker and enjoys activities such as bowling, car racing, cinema, swimming and the theatre

Successful Applicant

• Must be able to drive and hold a UK license
• Previous experience supporting children with complex conditions (brain injuries and epilepsy is desirable)
• Must be physically active to support the service user with a busy schedule,
