We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed support worker to join our team at our supported living service in Ravenfield, Rotherham. This is a permanent, part time role working 20 hours per week. Shifts vary and generally include a mix of 8am to 4pm, 10am to 6pm and 4pm to 10pm, Monday to Sunday, so flexibility is essential.
A full manual UK driving licence and willingness to drive a company vehicle are essential for this role, as you’ll support people to get to appointments, attend activities, enjoy outings and take part in their communities. Public transport around Ravenfield is very limited, so if you live outside the area, you’ll need your own vehicle to get to early and late shifts.
About the people you will support
At Hollings Lane, we support autistic adults to live in their own homes and enjoy getting out in the community, whether that’s trips to the cinema, bowling or walks in the park. As a support worker, you’ll take the time to get to know each person, understand what matters to them and work alongside them in ways that respect their choices, support their independence and put them in control of their everyday lives.
Whether it’s enjoying favourite activities, maintaining relationships, exploring new interests or spending time in the local community, you’ll work alongside people to help remove barriers and support them to take part in the things they choose.
