Job summary

Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking a part-time care and support worker to help people stay independent and connected to their communities. You will engage with individuals, support personal choices and assist with daily activities in a respectful, person-centred way.

The role includes helping with meals, personal care and medication support, with ongoing training, supervision, and weekend/night pay enhancements. DBS checks are required.

About the Role

Our support workers fulfil an essential role. Across our service this can vary from supporting people in a day service to keeping them as independent as possible in their own homes. Essential functions across all of our service would include: engaging with a person to support their communication and choices, completing personal care as required, assisting with meals and drinks to the level the person needs support, ensuring medication is taken as directed and supporting each person to live a fulfilled, active life.

We provide additional pay enhancements for all roles, applicable to shifts worked during weekends, nights, and bank holidays.

About You

To enter into a career in care and support you need to be passionate about supporting people, willing to learn, have good fitness and transferable skills. We provide full training for this role, including the Care Certificate. Driving is an advantage but not essential.
