Salary: GBP 27,000 per annum + Sleep-in rate

Support Worker – Pulborough – Salary up to £27,000 + Sleep-in rate = £50.00 – £110.00 per sleep shift

Platinum Recruitment is partnering with a leading healthcare provider in Pulborough, West Sussex, to find compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join their team.

You’ll play a vital role in supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Epilepsy, and Acquired Brain Injury to live fulfilling lives.

A new enhanced DBS certificate will be required for this role, and it is ideally preferred to hold a UK Driving Licence and own a car.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support based on assessed needs and preferences, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
  • Support community engagement by accompanying individuals on outings, appointments, and social activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including daily notes and incident reports.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and other professionals.
  • Work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins.

About the Role:

  • Support individuals with complex needs, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.
  • Assist with daily activities, including personal care, medication, and domestic tasks.
  • Help individuals access community resources, attend appointments, and participate in meaningful activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to support plans.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Epilepsy, and Acquired Brain Injury.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience as a care assistant or in social care working with vulnerable people is advantageous.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins.
  • Commitment to high-quality service user support.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in health and social care are desirable.
  • Dependable, able to work independently and within a team.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Experience with mental health in young people or adults; MHFA certification is a bonus.
  • A full UK driving licence is advantageous.
