Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Female Support Worker for our Bulls Cross service near Stroud. You will help residents gain independence with a hands-on, caring approach, following person-centred plans and PBSP as required.

Daily duties include assisting with personal care, teaching life skills, and enabling access to community activities. This residential setting offers variety, teamwork, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans.
• Experience with individuals requiring enhanced support including trauma, autism or mental health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Help residents gain more independence in daily living with a hands-on, caring approach.
• Teach life skills, support personal care and enable access to local communities.
• Assist with activities and socialising, including outings to bars, cinemas or parks.
• Support overall well-being and promote dignity, safety and choice.

Pay rate: £13.27 per hour base rate (up to £14.77 per hour including enhancements)

Shifts are: 8am – 20:30 on a Rota Monday - Sunday

As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

We're interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving licence, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
