Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking experienced Complex Needs Support Assistants to work with children and young people with profound and multiple learning needs. Monarch Education is seeking experienced and compassionate Complex Needs Support Assistants to work with children and young people with profound and multiple learning needs.

This role is ideal for individuals who have previous experience supporting learners with complex physical, medical and communication needs and are confident providing high levels of support throughout the school day.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs
• Confidence with moving and handling
• Experience providing personal care
• A patient, calm and nurturing approach
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries

Desirable Experience

• SEND school experience
• PMLD or SLD support
• Hoist training
• PEG feeding awareness
• Manual handling qualifications
• Experience supporting pupils with physical disabilities or medical needs
