Voyage Care in York is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help people gain independence, build life skills and enjoy daily activities. You will work within a close‑knit team to support a wonderful group of people to reach their goals and feel safe, supported and valued in their home environment.

As part of our team, you will plan and participate in community outings, assist with personal care and daily routines, encourage social interaction and learning new skills, and document progress

Qualifications

Support Worker – York - £13.47 ph
Typical Shifts are: Mixed shifts usually from 8 am and 10 pm

Our supported living service in York is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, , encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in the local community, the next you could be unwinding with them at service.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.
