Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a dedicated Female Support Worker in Musbury. The role offers either full-time or part-time hours, with a base rate of £13.56 per hour and enhancements up to £15.06 per hour. Typical shifts include 14:00-20:30, Monday through Sunday, with extra pay for evenings, weekends, and premium overtime.

You will support individuals to gain independence, work within a caring team, and help them access their local communities with activities and personal care.

Qualifications

• Genuine caring and hands-on approach as a female support worker.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Experience supporting individuals requiring enhanced support, including distress behaviours, mental health conditions, autism and trauma.

As a Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service in Axminster is a traditional farmhouse, ten minutes away from the Jurassic coast. It has a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support shopping, sailing, swimming, the next you could be unwinding with them watching films, arts and crafts or going to the cinema.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should ideally hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism and people who have experienced trauma.
