Job description

Make someone smile today. Join us a s support worker.

Support Workers - Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Locations: Crownhill & Great Holm, Milton Keynes

At MacIntyre, we’re passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism to lead gloriously ordinary lives. We are looking for full-time Support Workers to join our teams in our homes in Crownhill and Great Holm, Milton Keynes.

You’ll be helping people to live the life they choose and empowering them to make connections where they live and go out in line with our “Everyone, Everywhere” approach. We’re looking for enthusiastic, energetic people who are ready to bring their own gifts, skills and passions to the people we support, ensuring they have a voice and are listened to.

When we asked the people we support what they love most about their home in Milton Keynes, they said:

“I like living here because I see my friends and girlfriend regularly and I like my flat”.

“I like to see my friends and going to the cinema with staff”.

“I like the parties and barbecues that everyone has”.

No two days are ever the same! You’ll be giving people a hand as they go about their day to day lives, whether it’s supporting with hobbies, helping them get ready for the day, or assisting during the evening. You’ll also play an important role in encouraging the people we support to do the things they enjoy and will help them to organise things like parties, trips out or barbecues. Both homes have a lovely garden, which everyone enjoys, especially in the summer months.

Shifts are on a rota basis, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Typical shift times are 07:30–15:00 (earlies) and 14:30–22:00 (lates.) There are also sleep-in shifts.

What We Offer:
• Full training and support from your frontline manager and senior support workers.
• A friendly, supportive team environment.
• A chance to make a real difference in the lives of people we support, with no two days being quite the same.
If you're ready to help people live their gloriously ordinary lives, we'd love to hear from you!

About you
We’re looking for people who are kind, patient, and willing to get involved. You don’t need prior experience — just a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in helping others.

You must be a driver with a manual licence, as you will be driving service vehicles.
