Job summary

CareTech UK Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Solihull to deliver person-centred support and assist with daily living skills. This role operates on a rota with evenings, weekends and bank holidays, aligned to a 35-hour week in a permanent full-time contract.

Applicants should be caring, patient and reliable, with good communication, basic IT and written abilities. Enhanced DBS is required and supported by CareTech.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards a health & social qualification
• Experience in a care environment preferred but not essential
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
• Experience with using a hoist and dealing with Complex Physical Health

Rate: £12.79 per hour

Permanent | Full-Time Contract | 35 hours per week (rota-based)

About the Service – Yorkminster Drive

Yorkminster Drive is a supported living environment which provides care and support to people with learning disabilities and complex physical health. Applicants will ideally have a background in supporting individuals with complex physical health needs and experience in the use of hoists, either within a supported living or residential background.

Service User Interests

• Arts and crafts
• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
• Holidays and short breaks
• Walks in the local park and community
• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

You will:
