Job summary

SCN Recruitment is recruiting a Children’s Residential Support Worker for a warm, 3-bed Ofsted-registered home in Darley Dale, Matlock. This full-time permanent role operates on a 3-week rota with a long weekend off every third week, offering excellent work-life balance.

You will work with children who have experienced adversity, providing trauma-informed care, training, and progression opportunities within the home. Sleep-ins may be required and full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Trauma-informed care experience or willingness to train in this approach.
• Full training provided and support to achieve NVQ Level 4 Residential Childcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, nurturing care to children.
• Support routines, boundaries and daily living activities.

A warm, stable and child‑focused 3‑bed children’s home in Darley Dale is recruiting Children’s Residential Support Workers to join a supportive management team providing trauma‑informed care to children who have experienced adversity in their earlier years. As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping children feel safe, valued and understood within a nurturing, therapeutic environment.

This is a full‑time permanent role with a regular work pattern over a 3‑week rota, and every 3rd week includes a long weekend off from Friday to Monday, offering excellent work‑life balance. The Children’s Residential Support Worker position includes full training and clear progression opportunities within the home.

Experienced candidates will be considered for Senior Support Worker roles if desired (also advertised).

The Role

As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will support children with emotional, behavioural and trauma‑related needs, helping them feel safe, valued and understood. Duties include:
