Job summary

SCN Recruitment is seeking a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker for a 3-bed Ofsted-registered home in Darley Dale, near Matlock. The role is full-time with a permanent contract and a rota that includes a long weekend off every 3rd week.

You will lead shifts, support junior staff and provide trauma-informed care to children who have faced adversity. A driver is preferred and full Right to Work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a children’s home or similar Ofsted-regulated service.
• Calm, resilient and child-focused approach.
• Driver preferred.
• Must have full Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Leading shifts and supporting junior staff.
• Providing consistent, therapeutic care using PACE.
• Supporting routines, boundaries and daily living.
• Promoting independence, resilience and positive outcomes.
• Providing fun, friendship and parental-style support.

£14.50–£15.00 per hour | Darley Dale, Matlock | Full‑time | Established 3‑bed Ofsted‑registered home. A warm, stable and child‑focused 3‑bed Ofsted‑registered children’s home in Darley Dale is recruiting a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a fully supportive management team providing trauma‑informed care to children who have experienced adversity in their earlier years.
