Position: Support Worker – Adults (Supported Living)
Location: Liverpool
Contract Type: Temporary / Flexible Work
Pay: Competitive hourly rates (weekly pay)

About the Role:

As a Support Worker in a supported living environment, you will support adults with a wide range of needs to live as independently and safely as possible in their own homes. Service users may have learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, mental health needs, or require general housing-related support. Your role is to assist with daily routines, promote dignity and independence, and ensure service users feel safe, included, and empowered.

This is a flexible role, ideal for someone who is reliable, compassionate, and confident working in varied settings with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support individuals with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and budgeting
• Provide personal care when required, respecting dignity and privacy at all times
• Encourage independence and participation in household routines and community life
• Support social inclusion and assist with appointments, activities, and outings
• Administer or prompt medication in line with support plans and training (if authorised)
• Maintain accurate records including daily logs, incident reports, and medication charts
• Promote safeguarding and escalate any concerns in line with policy
• Follow person-centred support plans and risk assessments
• Work collaboratively with permanent staff and external professionals
• Uphold confidentiality and professional boundaries

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months of support work experience in a care or supported living setting
• Basic understanding of safeguarding, person-centred care, and risk management
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, proactive, and adaptable approach
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Medication and manual handling training (preferred, or willingness to complete)
