Job summary

Empowering U Healthcare in Lichfield is seeking caring Support Workers for a part-time bank role supporting a female client with MS and mental health needs. You will provide personal care, mobility support, medication administration, and companionship in the client’s home.

A full UK driving licence is essential. Training is provided, and there are flexible hours, with competitive pay between £12.71 and £14.29 per hour depending on shifts.

We are currently looking for caring, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers to join our growing team.

Available Role – Lichfield

Client: You will be supporting a female client living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and mental health needs. She requires assistance with most aspects of daily living and is a full-time wheelchair user with limited use of her hands.

Your role will include:

  • Personal care.

  • Catheter care.

  • Repositioning and mobility support.

  • Medication administration.

  • Supporting with appointments and community access.

  • Promoting independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing.

A full UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to drive the client to and from appointments and other activities.

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday

  • 8:00am – 4:00pm

Pay:
£12.71 – £14.29 per hour (depending on weekday/weekend and day/night shifts)

About the role
Role-Specific Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and catheter care.

  • Support with mobility, repositioning, and safe transfers using appropriate equipment.

  • Administer medication in line with the client's care plan.

  • Support with daily living activities, including meal preparation, shopping, light housekeeping, and attending appointments.

  • Provide emotional support and companionship, promoting independence, dignity, and choice.

  • Monitor and report any changes in the client's physical or mental wellbeing to senior staff.

  • Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with the wider care team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver compassionate, person-centred care in line with individual care plans.

  • Support with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily living activities.

  • Promote independence, dignity, choice, and emotional wellbeing.

  • Maintain accurate and timely care documentation.

  • Build positive relationships with the client, their family, and healthcare professionals.

  • Follow all safeguarding procedures, health and safety guidance, and company policies.
