Job summary

North Yorkshire County Council is seeking caring, proactive Support Workers to join a residential care team in Leeming Bar. You will assist vulnerable adults with daily activities, both at home and in the community, delivering person-centred support.

This permanent, full-time role offers guaranteed hours, training, and opportunities to develop through NVQ levels and ongoing supervision. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

The role

Action4Care are looking for passionate, caring and proactive individuals to join our amazing team of support worker staff. This role will require you to work as part of a team to support vulnerable adults within a shared residential home setting. This includes but is not limited to individuals with autism, Learning disabilities, Down syndrome, Mental health, Challenging behaviour and epilepsy.

Our aim is provide person centred care to support and encourage service users to live as independently as possible whilst providing the right support to suit their needs.

Your role will be to support individuals to carry out day to day activities both within their home and out in the community. You will also assist with personal care, administering medication, cooking, feeding, cleaning, shopping and general day to day tasks.

You must be willing to work a range of shifts on a 24 hour, 365 day basis (this includes bank holidays and weekends.) Shifts are allocated alongside the needs of each service and your line managers will work closely with you for any commitments around your working schedule.

Experience is preferred but not necessary as full training is provided.

For this role you must have a full drivers licence and access to your own vehicle
