The Role:

Providing practical and emotional care to enable individuals to lead as independent a life as possible. Flexibility is required, including shifts on bank holidays, weekends, and sleep-ins.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Implementing support plans and activities within a challenging environment
  • Communicating effectively with service users, families, and staff while respecting confidentiality
  • Preparing meals, cleaning, and laundry duties
  • Maintaining accurate notes and records
  • Working as part of a team to deliver high-quality care
  • Providing personal care

Personal Characteristics:

  • Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one
  • Experience supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, or mental health issues
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Confidence to work independently and in a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion for working with vulnerable adults
  • Commitment to safeguarding standards
