Shifts: 36-42 hours p/week spread across 12-hour shifts. Happy to discuss shifts during interview stage but every other weekend will be required and shifts tend to be between the hours of 08:00 - 20:00 ideally.

Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work.

You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you'll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.

It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people's lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature
  • Must have a Full UK Manual Driving Licence - you will sometimes be required to transport residents into town/activity days out using the company vehicle.
  • Previous experience in care would be highly desirable and taken into consideration when reviewing applicants.
  • Empathy, understanding and patience
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure
  • The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges
  • Competent in verbal and written English
  • A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential

Additional Information

Ashridge is located in a quiet street in Boston. It offers residential support for 18 adults with a primary learning disability diagnosis. We provide residential support in a homely environment in the community, supporting our residents with a positive behaviour support (PBS) approach. We want to help each person we care for to learn the skills they need to live a healthier and happier life back in the community.

Disclosure

All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland, and the cost of this will be covered by Priory.
