Job summary

National Care Group Limited is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist young adults with complex needs across home and community settings. You will build relationships, plan goals, and support daily living activities including personal care and errands.

The role involves shifts (early/late/sleep-in/weekends) and requires a full UK driving licence. Training is provided and opportunities for qualifications are available within a supportive, inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and planning goals together.
  • Help plan daily tasks and assist with practical activities (cooking, cleaning, errands).
  • Assist with personal care, including eating and medication administration.
  • Plan and participate in days out and activities the person wishes to enjoy.
  • Help the individual become more independent wherever possible.

Salary: £13.01 per hour / £27,060.80 per annum (Based on 40 hours)

Working Hours: Up to 40 hours per week

Service: Nexus Support Limited – Hockley

Nexus Support Limited is a specialist provider working alongside people with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Needs aged between 16 and 45, and their families in the South Essex area. Covering - Basildon, Castle Point, Chelmsford, Southend.

Days are spent supporting people to live a life meaningful to them. We provide opportunities to grow, develop new skills and to explore and enjoy new and established interests and experiences. This may include activities such as swimming, exercising, Health & Beauty and any preferred activities that individuals may wish to participate in within community settings and within their own homes.

When not out and about staff are on hand for chats and advice to help when times become challenging.

You will need to be available to work for a minimum of two shifts per week supporting the person at home and within the community. Shifts patterns include earlies, lates, sleep in and alternate weekends.

  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Due to the individuals we support, we would prefer you to be comfortable with physical exercise.
