Job summary

National Care Group is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs in Basildon, South Essex. You will help with daily living tasks, personal care, and community activities, in a role that offers meaningful impact and career development.

Shifts include early, late, sleep in and alternate weekends, with a minimum of two shifts per week. A full UK driving licence is required to meet the needs of the individuals supported.

Responsibilities

• Help plan daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
• Assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.

Nexus Support Limited is a specialist provider working alongside people with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Needs aged between 16 and 45, and their families in the South Essex area. Covering - Basildon, Castle Point, Chelmsford, Southend.

Days are spent supporting people to live a life meaningful to them. We provide opportunities to grow, develop new skills and to explore and enjoy new and established interests and experiences. This may include activities such as swimming, exercising, Health & Beauty and any preferred activities that individuals may wish to participate in within community settings and within their own homes.

When not out and about staff are on hand for chats and advice to help when times become challenging.

You will need to be available to work for a minimum of two shifts per week supporting the person at home and within the community. Shifts patterns include earlies, lates, sleep in and alternate weekends.
