Job summary

National Care Group Limited is recruiting a Support Worker in Southend-on-Sea. Salary £13.01 per hour (£27,060.80 per annum for 40 hours). Shifts up to 40 hours weekly, with at least two shifts per week including home and community support.

A £300 joining bonus is offered. A full UK driving licence is required to meet role requirements. The role involves working with people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, covering Basildon, Castle Point, Chelmsford, Southend.

Responsibilities

  • Help individuals become more independent where possible

Nexus Support Limited is a specialist provider working alongside people with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Needs aged between 16 and 45, and their families in the South Essex area. Covering – Basildon, Castle Point, Chelmsford, Southend.

Days are spent supporting people to live a life meaningful to them. We provide opportunities to grow, develop new skills and to explore and enjoy new and established interests and experiences. This may include activities such as swimming, exercising, Health & Beauty and any preferred activities that individuals may wish to participate in within community settings and within their own homes.

When not out and about staff are on hand for chats and advice to help when times become challenging.

You will need to be available to work for a minimum of two shifts per week supporting the person at home and within the community. Shifts patterns include earlies, lates, sleep in and alternate weekends.

The role of a National Care Group Support Worker

You will work with young adults who have complex needs. We are looking for a respectful and caring individual who can passionately support our young adults to fulfil their potential. This is a sometimes-challenging role but one with huge rewards.
