Job summary

Key Care & Support is seeking a dedicated support worker to assist a 16-year-old girl in Stockport. The role requires a driver to accompany activities and regular sessions, with an emphasis on autism awareness and compassionate, consistent support.

Shifts include Wednesday 14:30–23:00 and Saturday 10:00–16:00. The ideal candidate will enjoy engaging with Gill through swimming, trampolining, baking, dancing and pamper activities while keeping her safe and engaged.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of autism essential.
• Valid driving licence preferred for this role.
• Good interpersonal skills and patience when supporting a young person.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, patient support to Gill during shifts.
• Engage in activities Gill enjoys (swimming, dancing, baking, crafts) and accompany sessions.
• Monitor wellbeing and communicate effectively with carers and supervisors.

Key Care & Support are looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic support worker who drives.

You will be supporting a young lady, 16 years old who lives in the Offerton area of Stockport.

Gill has autism and challenging behaviour who needs consistency and regular support in her week.

Gill is outgoing and loves to visit the local trampoline facility. She enjoys swimming, baking, loves to dance and having a pamper, having her nails painted for example and foot massages.

Gill is looking for someone she can have fun with, sing and listen to Taylor Swift and rock music with a good beat! Gill needs a driver for all her activities and support sessions. Someone who has a working knowledge or personal experience of autism is essential for this role

The shift pattern for this role is:

• Wednesday 14.30pm- 23.00pm
• Saturday 10.00am - 16.00pm
