Job summary

Learning Disability London Limited is seeking a dedicated support worker to help people with learning disabilities live safely, fulfilling lives and with dignity in supported accommodation or in their own homes.

You will work across services in Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Camden, Islington, Southwark and Hammersmith & Fulham, on a rota that includes weekends, early and late shifts, and occasional waking nights. Manual handling is an intrinsic and regular part of the role.

Job description

As a support worker you enable people with learning disabilities to live safe, fulfilling, and dignified lives in supported accommodation or their own home. We have positions available across a variety of services in Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Camden, Islington, Southwark and Hammersmith & Fulham.

In each of our services we support approximately 5-10 people. We support people with a range of support needs from low to high; with old age/ dementia, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism/mental health. We also operate outreach services for people who live more independently. We work on a rota which includes working some weekends, early and late shifts. If you prefer to work nights, we also have some services with waking night shifts.

We currently only have vacancies in services where manual handling is an intrinsic and regular part of the job.
