Job summary

Turning Point UK in Gloucester is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for our 5-person supported living service in Minsterworth and Hucclecote. You will assist residents with daily living, personal care and engage them in community activities to promote independence.

Shifts include a mix of day and night. You’ll support residents with life skills, safety and wellbeing, and help with medication administration and record keeping while delivering compassionate, person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Promote the independence of people we support.
• Assist with daily activities including cleaning and cooking; plan days out or holidays.
• Arrange activities in the home and local community.
• Develop residents' life skills and personal interests.
• Help residents stay safe and healthy; provide personal care when needed.
• Assist with medication administration and record keeping.
• Ensure accurate documentation and contribute to service monitoring.

This is a supported living service with 5 service users. The tenants are supported with their day to day living, personal care requirements and also enjoy a range of person centred activities that the staff support them with. Such as swimming, art, sailing, hydrotherapy, going on walks, horse riding and delivering the local magazine which enables them to be part of the community they live in.Shift PatternsThis role is a mix of day shifts and night shifts. You must be able to work both.Role ResponsibilityWhat will I be doing?This is a hands-on job in which no two days are the same.
