Job description

Area: Cheltenham & Gloucester (Supported Living)

£13.00 P/H – Full-time

We are currently looking for multiple Experienced Support Workers to join our expanding service!

As a Support Worker, you will support vulnerable adults by providing vital support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, and behaviours that challenge. You’ll be offering 1:1 support, assisting with personal care needs, and helping our service users integrate into the community.

Duties
  • Help our service users feel safe, secure, and supported in their daily routines.
  • Help our service users express their needs, desires, and connect with others.
  • Prompt and promote independence.
  • Help to support our clients to reach their goals.
  • Liaising with the team regarding support with the service user.
  • Support with healthy, nutritional meal preparation.
  • Provide emotional support.
  • Administer medication.
  • Support clients with personal care and domestic duties on a daily basis.
  • Your experience will help you get to the root of challenging behaviours, enabling you to provide compassionate and effective support.
Requirements:

Suitable candidates will have:

  • Minimum work experience of 6 months (training will be provided for those without experience).
  • Good basic level numeracy and literacy and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • A passion for delivering client care to the highest standards of care and support to clients.
  • Must be someone who wants to make a difference in other people’s lives.
  • You must have a can-do attitude with a caring and helpful demeanor.
  • A good work ethic and attention to detail.
  • You must have a full UK driving licence.
  • You will be required to take an enhanced DBS check.
