Voyage Care in Gillingham is seeking compassionate Support Workers to help individuals with complex needs live fulfilling, independent lives. Shifts include day and night patterns, with a focus on person-centred care and teamwork.

No prior care experience is required as full induction and ongoing training are provided, along with DBS checks and a supportive work environment.

Support Worker - Gillingham | £14.00 per Hour

Typical Shifts:

• Must be available to work weekdays and weekends
• Day Shifts: 7:15am to 2:15pm or 2:15pm to 9:15pm
• Night Shifts Available

About the Role

We are looking for caring, hands-on Male and Female Support Workers to join our team in Gillingham and support individuals with complex needs to live fulfilling and independent lives.

This is a welcoming and supportive service where no two days are the same. You will play a key role in helping the people we support develop life skills, build confidence, access their local community, and achieve their personal goals.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting with personal care
• Promoting independence and daily living skills
• Encouraging participation in social and community activities
• Supporting people to access local bars, pubs, cinemas and leisure activities
• Helping individuals build confidence and achieve personal goals
• Working as part of a dedicated team to provide high-quality person-centred support

Additional Requirements

We are recruiting for:

• 8 Full-Time Day Support Workers
• 2 Full-Time Night Support Workers

Due to the wishes and preferences of the person we support, candidates should have a good level of fitness and be comfortable participating in a range of activities and supporting an active lifestyle.

Ideally, at least four members of the team will hold a full UK driving licence and be confident drivers.

This is an enhanced and complex support package, so experience supporting individuals with behaviours of distress and complex needs is highly desirable. However, a comprehensive training programme will be provided to all successful candidates.
