Dimensions Group is seeking dedicated Support Workers to assist ten individuals with learning disabilities in their own homes from Delmore Road, Frome. You will help them live active, fulfilling lives, participate in social activities, and build friendships, while promoting choice and dignity.
No prior experience is required; we value kindness, patience and reliability, with a collaborative approach to team work and comfortable use of technology for recording notes.
At Delmore Road in Frome, you'll be supporting 10 people with learning disabilities in their own homes to live active, fulfilling lives and achieve the goals that matter to them. Whether it's a walk around the local area, a shopping trip for favourite treats and new clothes, attending social groups, or supporting someone to build new friendships, you'll be helping people make the most of every day. You'll quickly get to know everyone's unique interests. Some people love keeping up with football, rugby and cricket, while others enjoy relaxing spa days, massages and having their nails painted. Saturday nights are often filled with excitement as people settle down to watch their favourite TV shows, and one person is a huge fan of magic and loves watching Dynamo. Alongside supporting people to enjoy the things they love, you'll encourage independence with everyday tasks such as managing money, shopping, household chores, laundry and taking medication. You'll also use digital systems to maintain support records and important information. Located near Victoria Park and just a short walk from Frome town centre, Delmore Road is a welcoming and friendly place where you'll be part of a supportive team helping people live the lives they choose.
You don't need previous experience in support work to be successful in this role. What matters most is that you share our values and have a genuine passion for supporting people to live fulfilling, independent lives. You'll be kind, patient and positive, with a natural ability to build meaningful relationships. You'll enjoy getting to know people as individuals, celebrating their achievements and supporting them to reach their goals, no matter how big or small. As someone who is proactive and reliable, you'll be happy getting involved in a variety of activities, from shopping trips and social groups to supporting people with everyday tasks at home. You'll understand the importance of promoting choice, independence and dignity in everything you do. You'll also be comfortable working as part of a team, using technology to record information accurately and adapting to the different needs of the people you support.
At Discovery, we support people across Somerset and Cornwall to live the lives they choose. Join a friendly, dedicated team where people are at the heart of everything we do, and enjoy excellent training, development and benefits. There's no typical Support Worker here-our teams come from all backgrounds, united by a shared desire to help people live well, learn new skills and gain independence. You'll make a real difference every day, creating meaningful moments and supporting choice. Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2026 - our eighth consecutive year of recognition.
