A leading charity is looking for dedicated support workers to empower individuals with learning disabilities, Autism, and mental health needs. This role involves assisting a gentleman with Autism in daily living tasks and activities, ensuring he lives life to the fullest. Our support workers are the heart of everything we do. We want you to empower the people we support to live their lives how they want to, whether that’s travelling the world or spending time in their local park! All we ask is that you have the commitment and drive to encourage and guide the people we support to make this happen.
This position is all about building relationships with the people you will be supporting while helping them with their day-to-day routines in line with their personal support plans. This includes dressing, personal care, finances, medication, attending appointments, and supporting employment, volunteering, and hobbies.
Who will you be supporting?
A gentleman with Autism and a mental health diagnosis.
He loves walking and socialising.
Enjoys fashion (avid cuff link collector) and is the biggest fan of Doctor Who.
An ideal applicant would be able to assist with daily living tasks, medication, and have good knowledge of autism and schizophrenia.
And be able to name all of Doctor Who’s villains.
