Job summary

Nurseplus UK Ltd is seeking a temporary Support Worker to provide high-quality care across settings, from elderly care to individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs.

You will join a compassionate team, assist with personal care, mobility, medication, meals, and companionship, following care plans to maintain independence and dignity.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years old and have the right to work in the UK.
• Experience dealing with challenging behaviours, mental health and learning disabilities is beneficial.
• PVMA or CPI training would be advantageous, but this can be provided.
• Flexible availability, with ability to travel to different care settings.
• Good standard of English and effective communication skills.
• Clear enhanced DBS, which you can apply for on registration.

Responsibilities

• Assist service users with personal care, safe lifting and moving, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and support following individual care plans to maintain independence and dignity.
• Assist with medication administration as directed and safe handling.
• Support daily routines and transport to different settings as required.
• Maintain records and communicate effectively with the team.

Support Worker

As a temporary Support Worker, you’ll be providing high-quality care across a range of settings, from elderly care to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and more complex care needs. You’ll become part of a compassionate team where every contribution counts.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Support Worker may include assisting service users with personal care, safe lifting and moving, administering medication, meal preparation, and providing general companionship. You’ll work closely with care plans to ensure individuals maintain independence and dignity, providing the physical and emotional support that they might need to achieve their goals.
