Job summary

CCH is recruiting for a Complex Care role in Detling near Maidstone. The role involves caring for a non-verbal young adult with complex needs, requiring PEG feeds, catheter care, and medication administration. You will monitor health changes and use moving and handling equipment as part of daily support.

Applicants should have a full UK driving license with access to their own vehicle. Previous experience with seizures is beneficial; DBS checks are provided for free, and training is paid.

Qualifications

• Experience with intermittent catheter care is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a non-verbal young adult with complex needs.

Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.75 per hour

Shifts Available: 2:1 Days & Nights (8 am - 8 pm | 8 pm- 8 am) 2-3 Shifts Per Week

Access to a vehicle is required due to the geographical location of the role

Job Description

What you'll do

The client is a young adult who has an acquired brain injury and is non-verbal, and due to this, the client would require several complex needs that need to be met, such as:

• PEG feeds (PEJ)
• IntermittentCatheter Care
• Medication Administration
• Monitoring the client's condition for seizures.
• Using moving & handling equipment.

Also please be aware that the client does have two dogs in the home and loves anyone who has a bubbly personality, keen to wear bright clothing and is a very clear communicator.

Qualifications

What you'll need

Experience in the following would be extremely advantageous for your application:

• Intermittent catheter care.
• Suctioning machines.
• PEJs
• Seizure management and anti-seizure medication, rescue packs etc.

The only essential requirements is as follows:

• Clear Communication Skills.
• A full valid UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle, due to the location and transport links.
