Job summary

CareTech UK Ltd is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Cannock to provide person-centred support and assist with daily living activities in a supported living environment. The role involves promoting independence and wellbeing while working as part of a team.

You will deliver care in line with individual plans, participate in community activities, and maintain records. A rota includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, with DBS required and visa restrictions noted.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards a health & social care qualification.
• Experience in a care environment preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
• Drivers desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).

Responsibilities

Support Worker

Location: Cannock
Rate: £12.79 per hour

Permanent | Full-time Contract | 36 hours per week (rota-based)

About the Service – Beecroft

Beecroft is a supported living environment which provides care and support to people with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorder who enjoy a wide range of hobbies from Bowling and Swimming to Dance and Music.,

There is easy access to public transport and it is close to local shops.

Service User Interests

• Arts and crafts
• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
• Holidays and short breaks
• Walks in the local park and community
• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

You will:

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
