Job summary

Swanton Care in Wales is seeking Support Workers for roles in Llandybie, Ammanford, to help people live in their own homes and participate in the local community. You will provide practical and emotional support to empower individuals to pursue goals within personalised support plans, with 24/7 coverage and a respectful, dignified approach.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK driving licence
• Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities and/or complex care is preferred but all training will be provided

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to help people achieve goals within their individual support plans
• Promote health and well-being in an inclusive, person-centred way
• Assist with housekeeping, shopping and basic personal care tasks
• Complete required records and documents accurately and on time
• Support each person on a 1-to-1 basis and work both independently and with others
• Be enthusiastic, compassionate and respectful of people's dignity
• Training will be provided to support individuals with various needs

We are recruiting Support Workers in Llandybie, Ammanford to support people to live in and be part of the local community, within a supported living environment. Our services are about helping people to get out in the community and make the most of their time in their own homes. Whilst fully embracing the company ethos support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone's individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live. Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,

• Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone's individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans
• Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way
• General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care
• As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents
• Each person we support has 1 to 1 support
• Lone working and team-working
• The successful applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence
