We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity at Potens for a Support Worker.

Females only due to service needs.

We are seeking a Support Worker for our modern, bright, and well-equipped environment based in Borrowash, just outside Derby.

At Paxton House, we support individuals aged 18-35 with various needs, including learning disabilities, challenging behaviors, non-verbal communication, and autistic spectrum disorders.

Your responsibilities:

• Promoting independence in personal care, cooking, cleaning, key working, and life skills
• Organizing in-house activities like baking, arts and crafts, sensory activities, reading
• Facilitating outdoor activities such as walking, swimming, golf, social outings, and keeping in touch with families
• Shifts include hours between 7am-9pm, sleep-ins, some waking night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays
• Flexibility across a 7-day period is essential

Candidate requirements:

• Females only due to service needs
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a social care setting
• Dedicated, passionate, kind, and caring attitude
• Flexible with a positive, 'can do' approach
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential
