Gray Healthcare is recruiting a team of mental health support workers in the Barrow-in-Furness area of Cumbria. The role involves supporting a gentleman in his 50s with Paranoid Schizophrenia and Learning Disabilities, who lives independently and receives 24-hour 1:1 support. He enjoys outdoor walks, cooking, and building Lego sets, and will be supported by a mixed gender team on various shifts, including days and waking nights.
36-hour contracts, consisting of 3x12-hour shifts per week during the day, plus 2 sleep shifts at £100 per sleep.
Initial training includes online modules (company induction, systems, medication), followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK, a PBS approach promoting least restrictive practices. You will also undertake person-centered training tailored to the individual supported. Ongoing training and career development are encouraged.
