Job description

Seeking Support Workers in Banbury - working across two homes, next door to each other, with people with disabilities who have a range of needs

  • £12.35 per hour from 1st April. Sleep nights are paid at £45.00 per night
  • Full-time (37.5 hrs a week) or part-time (from 22.5 hrs a week)
  • Shift Pattern: Long Days = 07:30-21:30

We are looking for proactive, engaging, and caring people to join a close-knit support team in Banbury, supporting some wonderful people across two homes, to live their best lives – the lives they choose to live.

The people you will be supporting are aged in their 30s to 70s – each person has learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and some complex health needs.

Every day will be different and rewarding, as you encourage and empower each person to be actively engaged in every aspect of their daily lives. Each person has their own interests, ambitions, and goals – they need you to help them realize them. You will also support with daily living skills, medication, personal care, and mobility assistance, as required.

At Dimensions, we believe it is who you are as a person – and the difference you can bring to the lives of the people you support – that matters more than experience. Whether you are new to support work or have supported people previously, we want to hear from you! We will provide all the training you need to become an excellent support worker. This role is both personally fulfilling and professionally rewarding.

Dimensions is proud to be one of the few social care organizations accredited by the Great Places To Work programme in 2023 – now five years in a row! We offer ongoing, fully-funded training and mentoring, along with generous benefits, job satisfaction, job security, genuine career prospects, and an inclusive, caring work environment that celebrates diversity, champions mental well-being, and encourages employee recognition.

The position will be filled as soon as suitable support workers are found for the people we support.

  • An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this role, with the cost covered by Dimensions.
  • We welcome applications from everyone with the right to work in the UK and value diversity in our workforce.
  • As Disability Confident Leaders, we guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria. Dimensions has received this recognition from Jobcentre Plus for our commitment to employing, retaining, training, and developing disabled employees.
  • We offer a salary advance scheme, allowing access to up to 50% of earned wages before payday.
  • British Sign Language (BSL) translated videos are available for all our recruitment materials.
