Job summary

The Orders of St John Care Trust is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist residents in our Aylesbury homes. You will help with daily routines, personal care, and companionship, ensuring residents enjoy a happy, fulfilling day.

You will join a compassionate team focused on high-quality care, housekeeping support, and creating a welcoming living environment for older people. Training and PPE are provided.

Qualifications

  • Ideally with, or willing to work towards, a Diploma/NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Proven track record in elderly care and a commitment to high-quality care standards for older people.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily routines and personal care.
  • Provide companionship and engage residents in activities.
  • Support with light household duties to keep rooms and surroundings tidy.
  • Contribute to a warm, safe and caring home environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Support Workers make a real difference to our residents every day; whether it’s helping them with their daily routines or personal care, providing companionship or joining in with the vast array of fun activities that take place in our homes, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring they are leading happy and fulfilled lives. You’ll also carry out light household duties to ensure that the household and resident’s rooms are kept clean and tidy, involving them where it’s appropriate to do so. You’ll understand that some days might be challenging, but you’ll also laugh, have fun and make lasting memories with our residents.

In joining us, you’ll also become part of our extended family. You’ll work alongside other team members who are passionate about providing care, warmth and kindness to all those who live and work in our homes.

ABOUT YOU
