The National Autistic Society is seeking caring and reliable Support Workers for Community Services Somerset in Rooksbridge. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week and includes evening and weekend work to support residents living independently in six houses.

You will follow individual support plans, assist with personal care, and help residents engage in activities they enjoy, as part of a compassionate, safeguarding-focused team.

Competenze

  • For you to inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people
  • Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential
  • Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome
  • Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) is preferred.

Mansioni

About the Service
Our Community Services Somerset consists of 6 individualised houses supporting 13 people to live independently in the community.

About the Role
We are looking for caring and reliable Support Workers. Your role is to help people live their best lives by following their support plans and daily routines.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating)
  • Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts)

This advert is for a full-time position at 37.5 hours per week.

Your working pattern in this role will require flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families and will include evening and weekend working.

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) ispreferred.
