Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant for our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre in Kent. You will build relationships with patients, support rehabilitation, help with daily living, and report progress to the clinical team on a rota-based, on-site role.

Come and join one of the UK’s largest providers in complex care.We have an amazing opportunity for Support Workers/Healthcare Assistants to join our caring and support team at our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre, our specialist centre in Kent, we look after adults with a brain injury or other neurological condition.Set within the 12 acre grounds of a manor house, we specialise in intensive rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from a brain injury right through to residential care.What you'll be working:Location: HothfieldHours:37.63 - FTEOn site role - Working on a rota basisSalary: £26,861.71(FTE) per annum, pro rataWhat you'll be doing:Build relationships with patients, which are open and two waySupport patients to undertake their rehabilitation programmeEstablish methods of communication with patients, reducing barriers when necessaryAssist patients with mealtimes where necessarySupport with activities of daily living and personal care when neededCommunicate any issues to the clinical teamAccurately report and/or record work activitiesKeeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights.What you'll have:A genuine interest in providing the best person centre care possible for our young peopleExperience working within the care sector / mental health would be an advantage but not essentialSuccessful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBSWe also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
