Job summary

Voyage Care is hiring a Support Worker for Bestwood, Arnold. The role is full time with typical shifts 7am-2pm or 2pm-10pm, Monday to Sunday, at £12.84 per hour.

You will help people gain more independence, assist with personal care, and support in a dynamic team within our Bestwood service. We value caring, resilience, and the ability to follow Positive Behaviour Support plans while supporting individuals with diverse needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in care or support roles preferred.
  • Ability to follow Positive Behaviour Support plans.
  • Willingness to work shifts including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

Support Worker – Bestwood, Arnold £12.84ph

Role is for Full time

Typical Shifts are: Monday - Sunday 7am - 2pm OR 2pm -10pm

Our supported living service in Bestwood, is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
