We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to work with a delightful 14-year-old girl with cerebral palsy in Aberdare. The role involves personal care, therapy programmes, and community activities, primarily based at the client’s home.
This is a great opportunity to develop your skills. Previous support staff have progressed to gain nursing qualifications.
The client enjoys spending time with family, watching TV, and playing with noisy toys. She attends school, youth club, and Sunday school, and loves going on outings, rides, horse-riding, swimming, colouring, drawing, and playing board games.
Flexible hours including full-time, part-time, and bank shifts in the client's home and community in Aberdare, with up to 144 hours over four weeks. Shifts may include day, waking nights, and sleep-in nights.
Pay rates:
Term time:
Monday to Friday, 15:00-21:00
School holidays:
Waking nights from Monday to Sunday, 20:00/20:30 to 08:00/08:30
Available from Monday to Sunday, 21:00-09:00. These shifts consist of 10 hours sleep-in (paid at the national living wage) and 2 hours active duty, totaling 12 hours at the applicable hourly rate.

This position requires a fully enhanced DBS disclosure and registration with the DBS Update Service.
