A position for a Support, Time and Recovery (STR) Worker has become available within the Weymouth & Portland Older Persons Community Mental Health Team. This is a part-time, permanent post.
The team you will join is a friendly, supportive, and dynamic multidisciplinary team consisting of Support Workers, Mental Health Nurses, Psychologists, Art Therapists, Administrative Staff, an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, and a Psychiatrist.
The applicant must be able to work collaboratively within the team and independently as a lone worker, seeing patients and carers in a community setting. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based care and treatment, and work creatively with community resources to support patient engagement.
Previous experience in Mental Health is advantageous. Further training and learning opportunities will be provided. We seek someone who is flexible, innovative, and person-centered in their practice. A car owner/driver is essential, subject to the provisions of the Equality Act (2010).

We are looking for an individual with a good understanding of working with people with mental health issues, passionate about supporting individuals to achieve their recovery goals.
The role involves supporting people with severe mental illness in their recovery, including graded exposure work and facilitating access to community resources to promote independence. The post also requires developing clinical skills, such as taking ECGs, monitoring vital signs, and performing venipuncture, to ensure compliance with physical health monitoring standards.
